The Aerosol Expert can mix your required colour for a variety of different substrates, and in a variety of different finishes.
We strive to become the first name into your head when considering paint. Our team is more like a family than colleagues, where we like to encourage each other to continually develop our knowledge of the paint sector. Our staff have combined experience of over 75 years, and are happy to give any advice or answer any queries you have for us.
Our mixed colours are supplied in 400ml aerosols, or 50ml touch up pots with brushes which are mixed in house by our very own paint experts.
Options
Substrate
Plastic- Select this option if your paint is to be applied to a plastic surface, for example PVC doors.
This type of paint is suitable for coating PVCU, hard plastics (not GRP) and powder coated surfaces. If in doubt a small trial should be carried out in a localised area to ensure adhesion compatability with the surface.
Metal- Select this option if your paint is to be applied to a metal surface, for example steel gates.
This type paint is suitable for coating steel, zinc substrates and aluminium. If in doubt a small trial should be carried out in a localised area to ensure adhesion compatability with the surface.
Wood- Select this option if your paint is to be applied to a wooden surface , for example a garden bench.
This type of paint is suitable for coating wood with a maximum moisture of 15%. If in doubt a small trial should be carried out in a localised area to ensure adhesion compatability with the surface.
Finishes
Full Gloss - A full gloss Aerosol Expert aerosol will give a high gloss finish from the can, with no need to purchase further clearcoat.
Glossy paints are shiny and reflect most light in the specular (mirror-like) direction. (Approximately 70%-100% Gloss)
Satin- All solid colours (non metallic or pearl) can be mixed with a satin finish. A satin finish in our Aerosols Expert aerosols will give you a duller finish than a full gloss aerosol, and are very popular on industrial painting, PVC, and kitchens etc.
A satin finish will leave you with a medium gloss, that doesn't shine as much as gloss paint as it's less reflective. (Approximately 30%-50% Gloss)
Matt- We can also give any solid colour (non metallic or pearl) a matt finish. A matt finish will give the product very dull visuals, with no glossy shine. Again, we often see matt finishes on industrial items, PVC Windows and doors and kitchen refurbishments.
A Matt finish is a dull finish or surface, as opposed to a shiny one. (Approximately 0%-20% Gloss)
Please note that the picture provided is only an example of the colour that you will receive. This picture is for reference purpose only and is an approximation of the colour.
It is difficult to give an exact shade of the colour you will receive in a photo, as simple things such as the brightness on your screen can even affect the visible colour.
These are mixed colours, colour accuracy should be checked before application. No responsibility for colour differences can be accepted after use.
